Who Is Master's Guild Association?

Why Master’s Guild?

The Housing Crisis will not wait for the Labor Shortage to correct.

A never ceasing demand for housing coupled with a lack of training and education within the homebuilding trades has resulted in a skills gap in almost every category of the building trades. These conditions lead to higher costs to build, lower yields in quality construction, volatile real estate values, and profitability struggles for businesses in building. Construction management experts expect a 38% increase in vacancies in the construction trades by 2025. A Guild is an association of people with aligned interests or pursuits. We are here to identify the skills needed to Master the art of Building and inspire the change that will close the gap.

How it Works.

We oversee the implementation of a four-step process for enriching the skilled workforce:

The gap between the residential building industry and secular education has grown too large to bridge in time to slow workforce losses. We must embrace the responsibility of improving access to the skills training we need.

Our group is a nexus that merges the efforts of Employers, Educators, and Professional Organizations to build a strong foundation for the future of Building Careers.

Recruit

market career paths and training courses to Candidates who show an interest in self-development and education.

Train

practicing professionals in the industry train recruits, keeping courses enriched with the values of today's employers. Work Ready courses as well as certification paths for workers who are career minded.

Coach

professionals volunteer as Coaches to interview recruits and support them as they find the best sector to develop their natural talent and further their quest for knowledge.

Retain

The Guild will continue to develop programs as well as offer employing companies customized safety, skill, and personal development training services so that advancement doesn't stop at hiring.

What We Believe.

We believe that an exceptionally skilled workforce is the life blood of the housing industry.

The residential construction industry is one of the few sectors where demand for new workers is rising and there is a notable shortage of professionals. Projections from all sources predict that construction jobs will see steady wage growth for at least the next five years. From an entry-level labor position, a home building worker has the opportunity to learn more highly-skilled trades, serve as frontline management, and eventually, for those with an entrepreneurial spirit, perhaps own their own company. At a time when countless college graduates are finding themselves underemployed and saddled with crushing student debt, it’s important to know that earning a college degree is not the only road to success.
